Details of the desktop version of the HFVE software will be given here shortly.

In the meantime the HFVE (Heard & Felt Vision Effects) software is installed online, to allow you to try out some of the effects that it uses, and that are described elsewhere on this site.

However, the desktop version additionally allows input and output via one or more tactile force-feedback devices, as described and shown elsewhere on this site.

As the desktop version outputs both audio and tactile effects, users can choose which modality to follow; or both modalities can be used simultaneously.

(Currently, the online version of HFVE only performs audio stereo sound output.  However I'm currently looking at software called VirtualHere, which allows USB devices - such as some force-feedback devices - to be used as if they were locally connected.)
